I'm always looking for new shows to try as DVD marathons are great for my insomnia.

Lie to Me:
I only started watching on Boxing Day yet it's quickly become a fave.
Starring the fantastic Tim Roth, it's all about finding out if people are lying by analyzing micro expressions, shoulder shrugs etc

Vampire Diaries:
Which is coming soon to ITV 2. This is based on a Book and I suppose the easiest thing to compare it to is Twilight, but this is much darker with sex, drugs and a fair bit of violence. Has good looking Vamps like Twilight though :P

How I Met Your Mother

Can be cheesy but is usually hilarious. Neil Patrick Harris is 'awesome'.

I think seasons 1-4 are being shown on E4 at the moment and season 5 is currently being shown in US.

House

Brilliant US drama starring's Britain's very own Hugh Laurie. I think they are shown on channel 5 in the UK

30 Rock

Another US show (this time comedy) but a bit less popular. I'm not sure if it's shown in the UK but I would recomend it to everyone.

I presume you'll have already seen it seeing as you like vampire realated shows but Buffy the vampire slayer is one of my all time favourite shows. I think people would like it weather there fan's of vampires or not.

It's Only Sunny in Philadelphia - Funniest program currently on TV. I'm a big fan of Curb Your Enthusiasm and The Office (US) but I feel that this has now overtaken both of them. Season 5 just finished and they have been signed on for 3 more seasons.

It was quite slow in the beginning due to the low budget. They brought in Danny DeVito in season 2 in an attempt to appeal to a wider audience and since then it's just gone from strength to strength.

Here's a great clip from the recent Christmas special:

Prison Break & 24, alot of you probably watch them but if you don't then you have to give them a try, I'd slightly side with PB but they're both gripping!

Peep Show. Probably the funniest TV show bar The Inbetweeners. The humour is so sharp and eccentric.

Greek

Anyone else watch or seen any of it? Season 1 was on BBCthree, but never showed it again. I looked for it online and just finished the 2nd season, going to watch the 3rd season nexrt.

Greek - Its An ABC Show based in America, Comedy Drama, its about the life of teenagers in college. About different fraternities, reltionships, sex, partys and funny situations.

Ok here is a short plotline from Wiki

Rusty Cartwright (Jacob Zachar) is a freshman at Cyprus-Rhodes University, and in an effort to shed his nerdy image, he pledges Greek. His older sister, Casey (Spencer Grammer), is an active member of the Zeta Beta Zeta sorority, and is dating Evan Chambers (Jake McDorman), an active member of the Omega Chi Delta fraternity. Evan offers Rusty a spot in Omega Chi but gets declined after Evan gets spotted cheating on Casey with Rebecca Logan (Dilshad Vadsaria). Rusty later accepts an invitation for Kappa Tau by Cappie (Scott Michael Foster), Casey's ex-boyfriend, much to Casey's concern.

Garth Marenghi's Darkplace. Either get the DVD or watch on Channel 4 Catch-Up where it sometimes resides. Briiliant comedy. While I'm feeling retro, would also recommend RE:Brand, one of Russell Brand's first foray's into TV - surprisingly good.

Shameless - gritty Northern English drama full of comedic moments and moral stories. The characters are all brilliant and compelling in their different ways.

Other than that, I've been a Lie To Me addict recently due to its unique nature and my favourite TV show ever has been Prison Break.

RESCUE ME - Have always recommended this where I've had the chance, and here we are again. Centres on Tommy Gavin and the rest of his crew working for the FDNY. Fantastic combination of humour and drama, the best I think I've seen from any programme.

E20 - The Eastenders spin-off, like a "street" version of Eastenders, better than the main one so far in my opinion!
Manchester United 3 - 0 West Ham United - Rooney (p), Nani, Berbatov.
Bradford City 0 - 2 Port Vale - No Scorers.
Switzerland 1 - 3 England - Rooney, A Johnson, Bent.
Wigan Warriors 36 - 12 Bradford Bulls - Tries: Kopczak, Lynch. Goals: Sykes, Menzies.
